Map 25 - Willard-Poitras
Rating Comments: New! Have an hour for quiet contemplation and pretty scenery? This a perfect destination for being alone in a beautiful spot. You will see marsh, rocky outcroppings, and even water views and wildlife. And interesting clearing created by beavers a couple of years ago is worthy of exploration. There are 2 parking areas on Willard Lane. One is an open grassy area near the conservation land sign. The other is a small off-road pull-off near the further trailhead. No dogs are allowed at this location, please, due to sensitive wildlife. There are some new blazes on the trees, and the route has been marked with pink flags in the trees in other places. Taking the Willard Trail to the Poitras loop makes for a 1.35-mile hike. This can be shortened to less than 3/4 mile by parking further east in the roadside pull-off. Moderate.
