Map 22 - Small Nature Trail
Rating Comments: A pretty, short, loop through hardwood forest with a notable beach grove and some shagbark hickory. Some number signs remain, from a time when the trail was used by students as an educational nature trail. Several boardwalks over wet areas and stream. The Harvard Snowmobile Club uses a portion of this trail as part of its trail system, which grooms the trail for skiing. You can extend the walk by taking the Dolan-Mason trail as it slowly climbs up toward Slough road and ends by passing through a pretty mowed meadow. When school is not in session, parking is found behind the Hildreth Elementary School. Trail access is just north of the traffic circle near the parking. Easy.
